Pladis is home to some of the UK’s most iconic biscuit brands, with a rich legacy and continued innovation in the snack industry. Their Wigston manufacturing site in Leicestershire remains a vital hub for production, serving households across the nation. A valued client for over 30 years, Pladis and Roshal have built a longstanding partnership founded on trust, quality, and results.

The brief.

Roshal was commissioned to deliver a full turnkey refurbishment of the Challenger Room — the main boardroom used by the Senior Leadership Team at the Wigston facility. The project aimed to:

• Modernise and elevate the boardroom’s look and feel
• Seamlessly integrate AV and power technology
• Enhance the room’s functionality for high-level meetings and presentations

Maintain alignment with Pladis’ premium brand identity

Our solution

Media Wall Construction

A bespoke media wall in a rich dark oak finish was crafted by Roshal’s in-house joinery team. It features:

• Integrated housing for an 86” display screen
• Concealed access panels for seamless AV and power connectivity

Furniture Upgrade

A 10-person oak meeting table was installed, complementing existing chairs to create a cohesive, sophisticated space.

Interior Fit-Out

The room was fully stripped and rebuilt to the highest standards, including:

• Fully plastered and redecorated walls
• New vinyl flooring and oak skirting
• New suspended ceiling installation
• Fully adjustable lighting for optimal ambiance
• Certified FD30 fire-rated doorset
• Controlled asbestos removal for safety and compliance

Smart Power Integration

Roshal installed power directly to the meeting table by chasing the floor, allowing for an uncluttered and efficient layout that supports modern conferencing without visible cables.

AV Integration

An HDMI cable was installed from the meeting table to the display screen, providing plug-and-play presentation capability.

The Result

The newly transformed Challenger Room now offers a refined, tech-ready environment ideal for executive discussions and strategic planning. The space artfully combines traditional materials with advanced infrastructure — a reflection of Pladis’ heritage and forward-looking culture.
