I founded Roshal in 1990 and now oversee the direction of the company, including which markets we operate in. It’s my job to ensure Roshal has strong governance, is in sound financial shape, and that we maintain our reputation for offering a high-quality, reliable service.
I originally trained as an electrical engineer and have 40 years’ experience in commercial interiors. I’m extremely proud of Roshal and take particular satisfaction in seeing the young people grow and develop within the business.
As Managing Director, I lead the day to day running of the company, overseeing every area of the business and working closely with Bob, our CEO, on strategy and business development.
I started at Roshal when I was just 17 and over the last 20 years, I have worked my way up, holding roles in admin, estimating, design, sales, project management and eventually the MD position. This has given me a great grounding in all aspects of the business and means I can appreciate just how far we’ve come over the least 20 years! It’s been an amazing journey.
Marketing & Business Development Director
Every day is different at Roshal: one day I could be working on strategy and the next I could be presenting design proposals to new clients or developing marketing materials. Before working at Roshal I specialised in international marketing and worked with many big high street and luxury brands including Next, Charles Tyrwhitt, The White Company and The Fold.
I love working at Roshal: seeing how much we can achieve when we work together and push ourselves is always rewarding. I also enjoy developing new client relationships and many of these turn into friends, which is lovely. I am also a technical member of IOSH.
Projects Manager & Head of Health & Safety
My job is to help clients and colleagues achieve their shared goals for projects in the safest possible manner. I really enjoy the day to day challenges and variety of my work.
I have over 14 years’ experience in project management and health and safety, originally in the civil engineering and construction sectors. My health and safety qualifications include NEBOSH and I’m a technical member of IOSH: the chartered body and membership organisation for safety and health professionals. This means I undertake regular CPD, which helps keep my knowledge up to date.
Senior Projects Manager
I head up the civil division within Roshal so I look after various interior and exterior works all over the country. I’ve worked for Roshal for nearly 20 years and can’t imagine working for anyone else. We have a great team and work with some great clients.
I come from a farming family so I enjoy working outdoors and can turn my hand to pretty much anything; I enjoy finding a solution to a problem. I also love food and regularly bring the team supplies of stilton and pork pie!
I look after the design side of the business, producing 2D space plans as well as 3D drawings, renders and sketches. I also support the operatives and office staff on anything to do with projects — their nickname for me is ‘the oracle’!
I’ve worked at Roshal for 5 years now; I initially started in project admin and have worked my way up. I’m also currently studying for a Foundation Diploma in CAD and BIM Architecture, which I am really enjoying. It’s helping me develop my skills in drawing and design further.
I provide a range of different services to clients and colleagues, including supplying pre-qualification information for new contracts, general accounts admin and HR duties. I’m also the quality manager for our ISO 9001 accreditation — something we are very proud of — so I ensure all the necessary systems and processes are in place to maintain this standard.
Like many of my colleagues, I’ve worked with Roshal for a long time, having started in 1994 as a contracts administrator. I like the fact that the work is varied and fast-paced so there is never time to get bored!
I help customers achieve the mechanical or electrical ‘end products’ they require, from small installations to large projects incorporating all electrical needs. I believe a good client–customer relationship is key and I work hard to build trust and understanding with my clients. I enjoy a laugh and a joke too; I think that’s important.
I originally qualified as an apprentice electrician and since then I’ve worked on large projects in and around London and as an approved site engineer at Boots in Nottingham.
As Company Secretary, I help to ensure good governance. I make sure that all company information is up to date and that the filing dates are all compliant with current legal requirements. I also get involved in HR — as I like to put it, I try to bring a little ray of sunshine into the office with a friendly smile and a listening ear! I enjoy making sure that everyone is safe and happy at work.
I’ve been with Roshal since its inception in 1990 and it’s been so rewarding to see the company grow and evolve.
I manage the Accounts team and the all-important payroll! It’s my job to keep the finance side of the company running smoothly and I really enjoy the variety of my job and finding solutions to the challenges that arise.
I joined Roshal in 1990 as an Admin/Accounts Assistant and have worked my way up over the years. Because of this I’ve gained a lot of experience and knowledge, which now helps me in my current role.
Marketing & Business Executive
I support the Marketing & New Business Development Director with all things marketing, ensuring Roshal is promoted in the best possible way. I also support the project managers and love producing tactile and digital moodboards for clients, which really help the designs come to life.
I’ve got a degree in Fashion and Printed Textiles and used to work as a Flagship Visual Display Merchandiser for River Island, so I’m creative and always keeping my eye on new trends — I’m utterly obsessed with Pinterest! Like many of my colleagues, I’m also a technical member of IOSH.
I support the team by managing goods in and out of stock, and arranging the delivery of these to site via our company vehicle. I’m also responsible for the building and grounds within our estate, keeping them tidy and well-maintained.
I have over 20 years’ experience of working in equipment hire for the construction industry so I know how important it is for the team on-site to have reliable support with goods and equipment. I enjoy being part of the team that keeps everything running smoothly!
I manage our in-house manufacturing workshop and my role involves crafting bespoke pieces as well as mentoring the apprentices we take on. Working as a team, we develop a design from an initial concept and then put this into production in the workshop, sometimes tweaking it on the way depending on what the feedback is.
I enjoy a challenge so it’s always fun making something that is totally new to us or has never been done before. It’s so rewarding when you see the final product installed and hear the client’s positive feedback — it makes all the hard work worth it! I’ve been at Roshal since 1994.
I’m an apprentice in my third year and support Steve, the Workshop Manager, making bespoke items and furniture. This could be anything from doors and windows to modern reception counters and board room tables.
I really enjoy working with different materials, especially Corian, and learning new skills from Steve. I also keep everyone entertained with my jokes and letters from my mum — she writes to everyone!
I’m in the third year of my apprenticeship as a Bench Joiner with Roshal. Before this, I worked with my family, fitting kitchens and bathrooms. I work with Steve and Callum, creating bespoke pieces from scratch in the workshop.
This job takes me out and about, which is great because I like working in different locations and meeting new people. I also really enjoy seeing something develop over the duration of a project.
