Creating a Bold First Impression

Following the successful completion of the boardroom refurbishment at Long Clawson Dairy, Roshal secured the opportunity to design and deliver a new main reception area.

The client wanted to transform the existing entrance into a bold, welcoming and memorable arrival space. At the same time, the design needed to reflect the Long Clawson brand while providing a practical reception area for everyday use.

A Reception Designed Around the Brand

The brief focused on creating an immediate “wow factor” for visitors entering the building. To achieve this, Roshal combined natural materials with Long Clawson’s distinctive blue and yellow colour palette.

We developed a carefully considered interior scheme that brought together:

• New entrance doors finished in the client’s signature brand colours
• Bespoke timber slatted wall features
• Rustic oak-effect flooring to introduce warmth and natural character
• Bold blue reception and lounge furniture
• Bespoke shelving to display awards and memorabilia
• Branded flooring and visual features to reinforce the company identity

As a result, the reception now creates a strong visual connection with the Long Clawson brand from the moment visitors arrive.

Combining Natural Materials with Bold Colours

The design balances warm timber finishes with strong blue and yellow accents. In particular, the timber slatted walls add texture and depth, while the oak flooring creates a natural foundation for the space.

Meanwhile, the bold blue furniture and feature wall provide a striking contrast. The combination creates a reception that feels contemporary, warm and distinctive, rather than simply functional.

Delivering Within a Live Dairy Environment

Working within an operational dairy environment presented additional challenges. However, Roshal planned the works carefully to maintain a safe and controlled working area while minimising disruption to the client’s daily operations.

Throughout the project, our team maintained clear communication with the client and coordinated activities around the live environment. This approach allowed the refurbishment to progress efficiently while keeping the site operational.
