Project Overview
Following an inspection at BBC Wood Norton, sections of the existing rainwater guttering were found to be sagging and partially detached from their supporting brackets. Roshal were appointed to carry out remedial works to restore the guttering to a secure and fully functional condition, helping to prevent further movement and deterioration.
The Works
To safely access the guttering, a suitably erected scaffold tower was provided in line with current health and safety requirements. The existing guttering was then fully cleared of debris, silt and organic matter, with all waste removed from site.
Once clear, the guttering was realigned to ensure the correct positioning and falls before being securely re-fixed. Additional support brackets were also installed where required to provide greater stability along the length of the gutter.
During the works, the existing components were inspected and any sections that could not be effectively resecured due to deterioration or failure were identified and reported to OCS for further instruction.
On completion, all equipment, materials and waste were removed, and the area was fully cleaned down and left safe, tidy and ready for use.
Remedial guttering works completed to restore stability, improve drainage and prevent further deterioration.
Outcome
The remedial works successfully improved the stability and support of the existing rainwater guttering, addressing the areas of sagging and detachment while helping to prevent further movement and deterioration.
