About the client.

The brief.

To extend the existing wash down area of the Jam oven within the production and manufacturing area.

Our solution.

This project involved Roshal carefully surveying the wash down area to design, supply and install new stainless steel ACO Drain Channels to connect to existing channels extending the wet area.

Pladis has a few days of downtime over the year for maintenance to minimise any disruption on the production lines and needed this work doing during the Easter holidays as this was the next factory shut down.

From conducting the site survey, Roshal worked with a fabricator to manufacture bespoke channels with the specific spec and falls to be both fit for purpose and to connect to existing ACO channels on site, which was also bespoke when installed over 10 years ago.

All works were scheduled from Thursday pm after the factory closed to Tuesday am when normal production resumed. Two days were spent removing 18 linear meters of concrete floor slab using specialist equipment, and the remaining three days were spent laying the ACO drains, back filling with concrete floor grout and installing an expansion joint to channels to reconnect with existing before handing over to the client.
