Boundary V Mesh Fencing and Double Leaf Gates Installation at Abaco Systems

About the client.

Abaco Systems, a leader in rugged embedded computing systems, commissioned by Roshal to enhance the physical security and boundary definition of their Towcester facility. The works involved the installation of a robust boundary v mesh fencing system 1.8m High including vehicular and pedestrian gated access solutions. The project was completed ahead of schedule with zero disruption to the client’s operations.

Objectives

• Install a secure and visually consistent 1.8-meter-high green v mesh perimeter fence.
• Clear and prepare the overgrown area for install of new fencing.
• Provide vehicular and pedestrian gate access for operations and safety compliance.
• Ensure timely delivery with minimal disruption to plant activity.

The brief.

• Supply and Installation:
  • 363 linear meters of 1.8-meter-high green powder-coated boundary mesh fencing.
  • 2 x 8-meter wide double leaf gates for vehicular access.
  • 1 x single leaf pedestrian gate to improve site circulation.
• Site Preparation:
  • Clearing of vegetation along the proposed fence line to enable efficient installation.
  • Ground preparation and setting of fence posts in concrete foundations.
  • Additional Works:
  • Installation of extra fencing sections and a signal leaf gate following a mid-project client variation request.

Challenges and Solutions

• Vegetation Overgrowth:
  The installation area was heavily overgrown, requiring comprehensive clearing before works could begin. Our team mobilized additional labour and machinery to complete this quickly without affecting the timeline.

Tight Timeline:
Originally projected for three weeks, the works were completed in just under two weeks, thanks to strategic resource allocation and efficient coordination between teams on-site.

• The project was completed ahead of schedule, with all fencing and gates installed to specification and tested for operational integrity.
