The brief.
The scope of the refurbishment in Phase 2 included a complete overhaul of the canteen and locker areas. The team stripped out the existing flooring, furniture and kitchen facilities to make way for modernised replacements.
Although some elements of white goods and appliances like the vending machines and microwaves remained, they were carefully removed, stored and protected throughout the process.
This area had the challenge of ‘constant employee use’ as area is utilised daily by a number of employees while on their break and lunch.

The completed refurbishment transformed the canteen and locker areas into modern, functional and on brand space.
The new layout was designed in house with our team to maximise available space, making it more comfortable and efficient for staff. The project was completed on time and within budget, providing Caterpillar with an upgraded facility that aligns with their evolving needs.
Employee satisfaction with the canteen’s new layout has been notably positive, and the space now fosters a better environment which everyone is much happy with.
